Soundtouch 20: could improve apps to improve overall quality of product.
Come on Bose you can do better than this.... I have 3 systems connected. Very slow response time. A couple of times the presets disappeared. Sometimes they have trouble syncing. One unit plays music and suddenly the other drops out. If I could I would return the whole system and replace with Sonos. The best advice I can give you is dont buy it. Owned them 2 years.
Almost every time I use it, I need to manually re-configure the connection. Its really surprising that Bose would have such a clunky piece of junk app for using their very expensive product. And the user interface seems like such an afterthought… after going through several steps to select an internet radio station (for instance), youve lost your place. To get back to it, you need to start over. every. time. I cant stand using this app.
Being able to control my outdoor speakers and cue up music with my phone is awesome!
More convinced than ever that Bose cannot do software. The consistently low app ratings dont seem to matter. Both the iOS and Mac apps are sloppily coded. The Mac app drops multiple icons on my system. The iOS app does not automatically update - I have to manually update when I launch the app The apps cannot play to other AirPlay devices like Apple TV - unbelievable
As with other reviews, I expected more from Bose. My sound touch turns itself off a lot or loses connection even with full bars. I would like to be able to choose speakers A, B or A&B not simply power everything together. Whats the point of having A-B if you cant separate them?
I have nothing to compare this app to. Seems good. Not complicated. One limitation of this app is the small number of presets you can store. The bose speaker itself has 6 presets which I get. Youre not going to have 50 buttons on it. But the app also has only 6? Why? Why cant it have 20, or 50 or even 100. 6 is just not enough. Its annoying to keep searching for the station. Sure you have the "recents" tab, but thats a long list of stations you skimmed through. Please add more presets.
90% of the time when I open this app it cant find our SoundTouch speaker.
I made a significant investment in 3 pieces of Soundtouch hardware to have syncd music throughout the house. Unfortunately, WiFi connection is lost from time to time and I now have to go through the setup process and manually install each device only to have it later disconnect and rendered unable to be found by the Bose ST App. I dont know if its just a POS Software App or POS hardware. Totally frustrating! Come on BOSE....get it together!
This app works half the time AT BEST. We expect better than that from Bose. Seriously, guys, you cant hire anybody who can make an app connect to your systems reliably?? I love the sound from my units, but dang this app is frustrating. How many lousy reviews does it take for you people to put some resources into fixing this POS app? People, dont buy their hardware until they fix this garbage. Buy a Sonos or a friggin Radio Shack unit and youll be happier.
Initially I felt its an engineering overkill to have multiple apps under this Bose sound touch app. however I really appreciate the way Bose has put together the app. The app is very user friendly.
There is an update to this app and when I tried to update it, it says its not connected to network although it was working fine on the network before the update. Now stuck in update hell with a running circle and no option to back out. I cannot use tue Sound touch and have no idea what to do.

Okay app. Should support Amazon Music and free version of Spotify (requires premium version). With these updates it would be a 5 star app.
Outdated and not the easiest to use. Please update!
