Bose SoundTouch app good for
Though there are limitations I find the App more than adequate for the job. Bit finicky to setup but I think it was more my network issues not the App.
It handles the control of the system well and since I only have a Sirius subscription, I was pleased with the Internet access. Others may find having 5 options a bit wanting. There are tones of Internet radio stations to chose from.
Easy to use and more than handles all the tasks I ask of it.
I did not experience any of the difficulties other reviewers did. I recommend not only the Bose systems but their app is a winner in my books!
Best app for bose this app work perfecly and controle spotify by it himself. Lovvvvve it.
Kudos to Bose for the product updates. Shows their dedication to the product. Loving my sound touch 20! Hopefully we can adjust treble too!
For such a important sound company I feel this app from Bose could better. App should support more than 6 favorites or have a quick access to history. Its kinda crazy you cant. I hope a new version is on the way. The sound touch system does work well, once its set up.. But Im happy with my 3 sound touch devices filling my apartment with sound in sync. Im very happy with Spotify integration.
I like how I can use the presets on the speaker once I set up the app for Pandora and Spotify. Pretty good system with Bose sound.
Does what its meant to. Works great at Bluetooth streaming from your phone.
Some bad moments
Were playing two SoundTouch units. However, regardless of playing one unit or a whole group, music randomly stops playing (synced from iPad via Bluetooth). Same problem with both own playlist and Apple Music. Nothing has changed since started using it two months ago.
Cant connect single device to my soundtouch system. Bluetooth problems over and over again. I have always supported Bose and love their products. Unfortunately nothing but problems with new system and software restrictions.
I rarely write negative reviews, as I tend to give the benefit of the doubt to companies. But, this app is absolute trash. Bose used to be a prime frontrunner in the audio industry, yet this illustrates why they arent anymore. Its hard to believe that something so basic could be so clunky. I wouldve expected something more sophisticated and all-inclusive from a company that has had years in the game. This app seemed like it was put together overnight as a high school science project. I spent $300 on my system and cant even use it the way I want because I have to use a crap piece of software that doesnt even allow the consumers to use the most popular music sites (iTunes Music, Tidal, Pandora). Its hard to believe that someone at the company didnt recommend listeners to have freedom to simply connect wirelessly to their phone and play whatever is coming out out as audio. All this "speaker" and I cant even use it to listen to a video on YouTube, Hulu, etc. Fit it!!!
Ive had the Soundtouch system now one year. I have had to reconnect this app no less than 30 times this year. Save yourself the drama and pass on the app.
This strikes me as a "just get something out there as fast as possible" kind of Solution. Nowhere near the quality I expected from Bose, and exceptionally disappointing. I hope theyll either improve both the iOS and the Mac version of this awful software, or open up the api so that other developers can write something half decent.
Bose should be ashamed of this pathetic attempt.
Please we need voiceover Support. I can barely use this app because we dont have voiceover accessibility in this app.. Its a Great product but there is a lot of people that cannot use it because of accessibility issues. It is not a difficult request. Lets all work together for a better accessible world. But please add boys over support into your app. Thank you.
